Airports:
There are three airports that service Northern Cyprus but the closest one is Ercan Airport which is actually located in Northern Cyprus.  Only recently opened in 2004, Ercan Airport is a modern building with all the facilities you would expect in an airport.  From the terminal you can purchase a hire car, hop on a coach, or take a taxi to your hotel destination.  Airlines worldwide travel daily to Cyprus but it is worth noting that in order to fly to Northern Cyprus, a mandatory stop over in Turkey is required.  Other airports in Cyprus include Paphos International Airport and Larnaca International Airport, both of these airports are located in Southern Cyprus but taxi transfers to Kyrenia are very reasonable.

Getting Around Kyrenia:
As public transport consists mainly of busses and taxis, car hire is very popular and often advisable, especially as public transport can be very unreliable and take a long time to reach its destination.  There are a number of car hire firms that you can choose from and all offer very reasonable rates on car hire.
Kyrenia has its own port and marinas and there are also ferry lines that can take you to Turkey and back again, which can be an added bonus to your holiday and also a great day out shopping.  Ferries are available daily and you can check out these services through local operators.
